The painted is executed with fine detail and beautifully colored with a lovely atmospheric sky of heavy clouds contrasted against the tonal colors of the beach.

Hunt exhibited at the Royal Academy and Suffolk Street Gallery from 1878 and at the Paris Salon in 1888. His work resides in many museum and galleries. His works are highly sought after as evidenced by their high demand. Auction records for Hunt exceed $53,000.
