'On the Coast' coastal seascape oil painting on panel by listed French artist Louis Nattero (1875-1915). This Impressionist work depicts a coastal view with figures and boats on the Mediterranean coast. Nattero was a student of Leon Bonnat at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris and worked mainly on the coast around Toulon and Marseilles. He is a well collected marine painter known for his paintings of the sea, ports, local street scenes and children. Signed lower right. Provenance: private collection of the artist.
