A fine large 19th-Century Impressionist summer garden landscape,oil on canvas by listed British artist, Sir John Lavery RA RSA RHA (1856-1941). It depicts a beautiful summer garden scene with a path partially shaded by the leaves of the overhanging trees. The viewer's eye is drawn into the work by the dappled light on the path and the adjacent stone of the home. It is typical of the Impressionist influenced works painted by Lavery during his active period, 1890-1910. Presented in its original antique swept gilt frame and signed by the artist, lower right.

Auction records for Lavery exceed $2,900,000.

Dimensions: 25.5” Length x 2.25” Width x 21” Height

Art has long been regarded as a strong and safe investment.
