Bay hunter horse and foal oil painting by listed Danish artist, Thorvald Simeon Niss (1842-1905). The artist has depicted a mother horse and her foal in a box in this fine quality equestrian Realism work. The painting is on panel, signed and dated 85 (for 1885), lower left and housed in a giltwood frame. It is documented that Niss traveled a great deal around the Continent in 1885, painting landscapes and equestrian scenes.

Auction records for Niss up to $7,750.

Dimensions: 25.75” Length x 2” Width x 21.75” Height, Sight: 20” Length x 16” Height

Condition is very good, ready to hang

Art has long been regarded as a strong and safe investment.
