Petite pair of 19th-Century English Staffordshire flat back mantel pair of figurines. They each depict a child equine royal hunt jockey figure with horse (British spotted pony) and spaniel dog. They were likely produced for a nursery mantle when made and are a wonderful surviving early set. The pair is of the Victorian period and of petite scale with the equestrian riders attired in traditional riding costumes and dogs.
