Fine quality Impressionist oil on canvas by listed French artist, Charles Deshayes (1831-1895). This large still life painting depicts a vignette of champagne, crystal glasses and lucious pomegranate fruit. The work is executed with brilliant detail and a superb use of color. Born 9 November 1831, in Toulon; died 1895. Deshayes studied under F. L. Français and Sénéquier and made his painting début at the Paris Salon in 1864. Using a subtle blend of colours, he portrayed light effects on the Île-de-France and Paris landscapes at different times of the day. Many museum and Gallery Holdings.
