19th-Century English oval papier-mâché chinoiserie serving tray.. It is handcrafted with lovely mother of pearl and abalone shell inlay on a black ground. The tray is further decorated with hand painted gilt and lacquered. It is a fine example of a Victorian period serving tray, functional to use or pretty displayed on a wall.
