An Antique one half gallon English copper haystack ale and spirits measure. It is constructed with a dovetail seam. This lovely old pitcher is called 'haystack' because it has the shape of a haystack. It was used in a pub for cider, ale or spirits. It retains the original lead seal denoting authenticated size approved by the crown and weighs almost 2-1/2 pounds. This wonderful pitcher has a wonderful patina and surface.
