18th-Century Dutch Delft Chinoiserie Plates Hatchet Marks, Pair
Fine quality 18th-Century Dutch Delft pair of plates. These antique plates are hand painted with a chinoiserie tree and fence design accented by a floral, foliate and geometric surround. They have a lovely orange-yellow border as well. Marked on the reverse with the hatchet / axe mark, by the factory Porceleyne Bijl. This workshop was active from 1657 - 1802. A lovely and rare pair collectible faience plates.
