18th-Century Dutch Delft Chinoiserie Plate w/ Axe Hatchet Maker's Mark
A superb 18th-Century Dutch Delft chinoiserie plate by the factory Porceleyne Bijl. It is hand painted with a Chinese design - tree, fence, geometric, and floral with foliate motif. It is signed with the axe or hatchet mark on the reverse. This workshop was active from 1657 - 1802. It is a fine quality and rare collectible plate.
